About Me
Dr. Adam Lynch
I began learning music at the age of eight, first on the trumpet before discovering a lasting passion for the piano. I’ve now been playing for over twenty years, exploring a wide range of musical styles from classical repertoire to jazz and contemporary film music.
I hold ABRSM Grade 8 in both Piano and Music Theory, and I’m currently preparing for my ATCL Diploma in Piano Performance and AMusTCL Diploma in Music Theory – qualifications equivalent to the first year of conservatoire study. I’m also developing my interest in jazz performance and improvisation.
I’m a member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians and hold an Enhanced DBS check. I’m actively involved in the local music community as a member of both the Brighton Festival Chorus and the Brighton & District Organists’ Association.
Teaching piano is a genuine passion for me – I enjoy helping students of all ages discover their own musical voice, whether they’re learning for enjoyment, for exams, or to take their playing to the next level. I hold the Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA) qualification.
I’m always happy to welcome new students – feel free to get in touch to discuss lessons or arrange a trial session.
